WordPress, built properly. Easy to edit for years.
Custom-designed WordPress sites that are fast, secure and genuinely easy for your team to update, with only the plugins the site needs and someone to keep it all current.
WordPress runs a huge share of the web, and for good reason: it’s flexible, it’s yours, and almost anyone can learn to edit it. It also has a reputation for slow, fragile sites. That reputation usually comes from how a site was built, not from WordPress itself. A bloated multipurpose theme and thirty plugins stacked on top of each other will be slow and break on updates, whoever installs them.
Every site is designed from scratch, then built in WordPress the way that suits the people who will run it. For most businesses that means Elementor, set up with a defined design system of reusable templates, global colors and type, so your team can edit pages visually without drifting off-brand. Where a project calls for it, we build custom blocks, fields and post types instead.
Plugins are chosen with discipline. Each one has to earn its place, come from a reputable developer and be actively maintained. Where a few lines of custom code do the job, we write the code instead of adding another dependency. Fewer moving parts means fewer security holes and fewer update-day surprises.
We also take on existing WordPress sites: speed and security fixes, rescuing a site from a broken theme, migrating hosts, or moving a site onto WordPress from another platform. If WooCommerce is part of the plan, we build stores too.
What’s included
What you get in a WordPress build
- 01
Custom-designed WordPress sites
Designed for your business from a blank page, not adapted from a theme marketplace demo, and built so every page shares one consistent system.
- 02
Visual editing with Elementor
Templates, global styles and reusable sections set up so your team can update pages visually and the design stays consistent.
- 03
Custom post types
Projects, case studies, locations, team members, events or listings set up as proper content types with their own templates and archives.
- 04
WooCommerce
Online stores built on WooCommerce with custom product templates, checkout configuration and payment and shipping integrations.
- 05
Plugin audit and cleanup
A review of what an existing site has installed, what it actually uses, and what can be removed or replaced with lighter code.
- 06
Speed and performance
Caching, image optimization, script cleanup and database housekeeping, measured before and after so you can see what changed.
- 07
Hosting, updates and security
Managed hosting recommendations, core and plugin updates, backups, uptime monitoring and security hardening through our maintenance plans.
- 08
Migrations
Moving WordPress sites between hosts, or onto WordPress from Wix, Squarespace or older platforms, with redirects so search traffic follows.
In detail
What goes into a WordPress build we’d put our name on
- 01
A design system, not a pile of pages
Global colors, type and reusable templates set up first, so every new page looks like it belongs and changes roll out sitewide.
- 02
Editing designed for your team
Sections and templates made for your content, so updating a page means changing words and photos, not rebuilding layouts.
- 03
A short plugin list
Usually a handful: forms, SEO, caching, security, backups. Each one reputable and maintained. Anything else has to justify itself.
- 04
Staging before production
Changes and updates are tested on a copy of the site first, so the live site isn’t where problems are discovered.
- 05
Backups and monitoring
Automatic offsite backups and uptime monitoring, so a bad update or a hosting issue is a short inconvenience, not a crisis.
- 06
Access that belongs to you
Admin, hosting and domain logins in your name. We work in your accounts, not ours.
Why it matters
Why a well-built WordPress site pays off
- Editing you won’t dread
- Your team can add a page, swap a photo or publish a post in minutes, without calling anyone or breaking the design.
- Faster, steadier sites
- Less code and fewer plugins means quicker load times and far fewer things that can conflict when WordPress updates.
- A site that isn’t locked in
- Custom-designed doesn’t mean proprietary. It’s standard WordPress and widely used tools, so you’re never dependent on one developer.
- Someone watching the updates
- WordPress needs regular care. We handle it, test after updates and fix problems before they reach your visitors.
How it works
How a WordPress project runs
Step 1: Requirements
We map your content, who edits what, the integrations you need and any existing site we’re replacing or fixing.
Step 2: Content and design
We plan the pages, templates and anything structured (projects, events, locations) alongside the visual design, so editing is designed in, not left to chance.
Step 3: Build
The site is built on a staging copy you can review, with plugins kept to an agreed shortlist.
Step 4: Content, testing and launch
We migrate or load content, set redirects, test on real devices, check speed and launch on hosting suited to the site.
Step 5: Training and care
A walkthrough for your editors, then ongoing updates, backups and monitoring through a maintenance plan if you want one.
FAQ
WordPress Development: common questions
Do you build with Elementor?
Often, yes. Elementor lets your team edit pages visually, which is what most businesses want day to day. What matters is how it’s set up: we design the site first, then build it with global styles, reusable templates and a short plugin list, and tune it for speed. When a project needs something more structured, we build custom blocks and fields instead.
Can you fix or speed up my existing WordPress site?
Usually, yes. We start with a review of the theme, plugins, hosting and page speed, then tell you what’s worth fixing and what isn’t. Sometimes a cleanup is enough. Sometimes the theme is the problem and a rebuild is better value. We’ll be straight with you about which.
Is WordPress secure?
WordPress core is well maintained. Most WordPress security problems come from outdated plugins, abandoned themes, weak passwords and neglected updates. Keeping plugins few and current, using good hosting, enforcing strong logins and taking regular backups covers most of the risk.
Can you move my site from Wix or Squarespace to WordPress?
Yes. We rebuild the site on WordPress, move the content across, and map every old URL to its new address with redirects so you don’t lose search traffic or break links people have saved. It’s also a good moment to fix the structure and design.
Do you handle hosting?
We recommend hosting that suits the site and can set it up in your name. Ongoing updates, backups, monitoring and security are covered by our website maintenance plans, so there’s always someone responsible for keeping things current.
